Sorry for the delay in pages... I just finished my last week of undergrad O.o so these past two weeks have been very busy for me.

BUT! I do have the next mini adventure page planned out, and will try to finish it before I graduate on Sunday. (And HINT: the comic's stars are two characters that start with "J"!)

So be on the look out for that!

Three Years Ago, On May 27th....

.....the JGT website was born!!

Before this site, JGT existed only in our imaginations, and in piles and piles of printer paper and sheet protectors....and I am so glad that we decided to take this scary leap of faith and publish JGT on the web!

In honor of this anniversary, I wanted to share 2 things with you all! 

First, I actually wrote a small JGT essay for one of my creative nonfiction classes. It's called "Confession of an Amateur Webcomic Artist." It delves into the journey of Jocey, Taylor, and I, and the eventual creation of JGT.

So, here is a small excerpt from the essay :) Hope you enjoy!

     I drew alone in the comfort of my dorm desk, and I knew very well how bad the pictures looked. At one point, I wanted to stop the story. The comic wasn’t going to take me anywhere. I was wasting my time. But I got attached to the randomness that was JGT. As the serious one of the trio, I was having fun. And I just felt like I needed to draw the comic in order to feel that my two best friends were there with me.

     Via many texts and Skype calls, Jocey suggested putting the comic on the web. And I told her that it was too terrible for the world. And she said no, they are not. They are funny, they mean a lot to us, and I should be proud of them.

     So we made a website. 

Yeah, I was pretty terrified of making a website. But a certain squirrel girl told me not to be :) For visual effect (and by visual I mean squirrel visual because I just tend to draw us as squirrels now XD), this is how a lot of pre-website scenes went down between us...

So, in the end, JGT and the website are because of Jocey and her awesome words of wisdom :) Thank you, Jocey, for believing in JGT and for believing in me!

Aaaand for this wonderful doodle for the 3rd anniversary!

Isn't it lwajf;jfjsd cute?? Thank you so much, Jocey, for this picture to commemorate this website (look at our outfits omg I really do want mine and ahhhh this pic is so precious) and this journey! I can't wait to see where JGT takes us next, and I will believe in every step we take :)

Special Announcement and "The Last Skittle"

Hey, guys!! Genie here.

So, as you may have noticed, the original JGT trio are graduating one by one. Jocey and Tay have already tossed their caps into the air this past weekend, and I shall do the same in about another month.

And because of that, it will be hard for me to actually sit down and start the new episode. I will most likely start drawing it in early summer.

BUT WAIT! That doesn't mean that this episode hiatus is going to fall through without any JGT shenanigans!

As a transition from Big Magic to OZ, I have decided to draw weekly one-page comics! These comics are going to be simply done, and are going to show us the small adventures the gang run into during their training at Mt. Hill. They are also a great way for me to relieve my stress, so there's that, too. **Cough** A couple of them maaay be relevant for the next episode as well **Cough**

I will do my very best to make this a weekly thing, and if not, they shall be maybe a few days late. It's worth a try!

So, to start the mini adventures, here is one starring Jocey, Genie, Taylor, and a piece of candy. This is actually a revival of an old, old, old JGT comic of the same scenario.

A Very Proud G

Hey, guys! Genie here!

And guess who have just graduated!!

Congratulations, Jocey and Taylor! You have survived one of the toughest adventures a person can go through: college! I shall join you in June...

I am so proud of both of you and all that you've accomplished. I can't wait to see what you guys do next! And I'll be watching over you all the way, cuz, you know, that's how I and my character are XD

A Little Bit of Silly Luck

Ello, everyone! Genie here! Sorry for lack of post this past week; midterms are not fun, even when they're your last midterms of undergrad.

Since I am done with the first round of tests, I can have more time to work on prep for JGT in OZ!

But for now, I wanted to share a little doodle I did to help relax me while studying, and I even shared it with Jocey while she was studying, too.

Tis a simple doodle, but it made us smile :)
