How Far We've Come

(Title came from the song I kept listening to while coloring this XD)

Actually, there's another reason I used this title...

I designed Page 48 based on an old, old, old JGT drawing that's actually up on the site in the Extras!

Here it is:

This was the original cover that I put in the 'Scrible' Binders of JGT! But now for Page 48, I revamped it, colored it, and made it a part of this new version of the comic.

Redoing this image really did show me how far we've come. And the cool part is that we still have a long way to go :)

Can't wait for the next part! Or in this case, the next page ;)

Hey, guys! Genie here. Page 48 is still on its way! Thank you so much for being so patient :) The eppie is slowly drawing to a close, so thank you for hanging in there with me!

Hehe, as you may have guessed, this is in prep for the NEXT JGT episode: JGT in OZ!

I started preproduction a little over a year ago, and I'm still going! Once Big Magic is done, I will post the rest of the character sheets as well as other lil sneak peeks for you :) It's gonna be such a fun eppie, I promise! And later on, you'll find out why this episode is so important for the latter half of JGT Season 1 ;)

But before I get carried away and start handing out spoilers, please enjoy all these Dorothy sketches. Now, back to novel writing and page making. Gotta love it :)

Spreading the Love...of Stories!

Hey, everyone! Genie here!

So, tomorrow is Valentine's Day, and for today's post, I wanted to spread the love....of stories!!!

If you've seen the Artwork tab, you've probably noticed some cross-over artwork between JGT and a dude named Matthew Tran. Well, here is another one of those cross-overs!

Tada! A hug that crosses words, pictures, and websites! Tis of Rudy from JGT and Forrest from Matt's story, "The Obsidian Tale"! If you haven't already, please do check it out! If you like adventure, personality shards, adventure, girls obsessed with their backpacks, adventures, oh, and apples, then click HERE FOR AN AWESOME STORY!

And as the picture says, stories stick together no matter what! Even though my friends and I are working on different stories, we all still take the time to check up on each other and make sure we're doing alright. And in the end, that alone can help keep our stories going :)

Guardian Princess Alliance: Princess Ten Ten

So, I am interning for this amazing organization called the Guardian Princess Alliance. To introduce you guys to them, I have drawn a piece of fan art for one of their characters. Say hello to Princess Ten Ten, Guardian of the Skies!

Here is what the GPA is!

Who loves strong, independent, and diverse characters? I know I do, and if you do, too, then check out the Guardian Princess Alliance!

They’re an educational organization whose books feature multiracial and multicultural heroines who transform the typical “princess” from a passive damsel-in-distress’ into a proactive superheroine. These heroines demonstrate that true beauty and greatness lie in protecting and caring for the people of their communities and the planet.

The most recent story is about Princess Ten Ten, Guardian of the Skies. When the skies of her country are engulfed in gray and polluted smog, it’s up to Ten Ten to unite the townspeople and use her special powers to save the day!

They truly are a great set of characters that all kids can look up to.

Surprising

Hey, guys! The pages are back!!! Huzzah!!!

I'm so glad that it is. This comic really is a haven for me, so to finally be able to get off hiatus just makes me sooo HAPPEH!

And we're almost, almost there! Almost done with the Big Magic trilogy/the midseason finale!

Thank you again for being so patient! This page is dedicated to you all, and to my friends from everywhere.

You are all amazing. It really isn't that surprising :)
