It's been a long week

Hey everybody,

Jocey here bringing you all the news. So, this week, its been pretty crazy. For me mostly cause I'm still adjusting to early classes (earlier than usual) and jus getting back into the swing of things. And for Genie, it's been a roller coaster. Lots of stuff happened that I'm sure she will share with you guys. But it's at these moments, that I think we have to remember that Everything is going to be okay.

Things might be rough, but at the end of the road, everything will turn out okay. 

So for now, thank you for the patience! We will try our best to get a page out, but for now just stick with us. You won't be disappointed in the end :)

Still...

Hey, guys! Long time no...blog...ish?

Eh, anywho, I hope everyone is hanging in there as the year rolls on. I know I am. Thanks again to Jocey for manning the last post (which btw I am so proud of because of her interview opportunity you GO BEST FRIEND YOU BE THE AWESOME PERSON YOU ALWAYS ARE!)

Anywho-anywho, you guys also found out about the reason for my absence in pages. I am currently working on my creative writing senior thesis/the beginning of my novel. And though I am super duper grateful and excited for, it is a lot of hard work, and I do feel terrible for not being able to get the pages in as fast as I'd like to.

Still...

Forcing to be on this mini-mini hiatus made me realize that I couldn't possibly write my novel if JGT didn't exist. Long story short, my novel is about characters. Like, characters you like to make up for your stories. And JGT is the project that prompted me to love the process of character and story-making. Though it did start out small and sloppy, Jocey and I have worked hard to make JGT into the colorful story it is today.

So, as I write this new novel, I keep thanking both Jocey and JGT every second because they help me continue my love for stories, and for characters.

And even though I haven't been able to draw actual pages in a couple of weeks, my love for JGT is still very fruitful.

Here's proof:

Gotta love revisiting the origins, right? JGT did start out with just random class doodles.

So, thank you all for being so patient and understanding! I promise that I will do my best with writing this novel, as well as resuming the JGT pages! I will not give up! Giving up is not the JGT way!

Some important News!

Hey everybody!

Have a doodle. So here is some important news about your authors! This is the main reason we have not had recent pages. So be ready to be amazed. 

So, as many of you know, Genie and I are graduating this year. Yup, four years of college is nearly done. Both of us have had some pretty hectic semesters, but this news isn't bad, it's actually quite the opposite.

So we'll start with mine, cause it's pretty cool.

I don't know how many of you know, but I've been applying to Pharmacy Schools for the next year and recently I got my first interview invitation (OMIGOSH WHAT?!). I'll let y'all know how that all goes, but I'm pretty stoked about it.

Now for Genie's news (I'm pretty flipping excited for Genie haha)

So as a creative writing major, Genie can either do a term paper for a class or apply to write her thesis. And the good news: well Genie is writing her thesis for the winter quarter (OMIGOSH SQUEE, AWESOMENESS). Yup, our creator Genie is going to write 40 pages of original fiction and have it edited by a mentor from her school. I don't know about you, but that's pretty flipping exciting and awesome and I'm so incredibly happy for her! Here's a little secret: I'm kind of like Genie's biggest fan (next to her family of course). I can't wait to read what she has to offer and I know it's going to be epic and awesome. 

So this why there has been a lack of updates, Genie has been working on her thesis (SQUEEEEE) (OMIGOSH!)

That's all I got to say for today, but updates will be back once we get back into the school groove.

Quick Little Hello

Hey, guys!

Genie here, who is without her tablet or printer so this will not be a doodle-post. Sorry X(

I just wanted to say 'Ello!' to everyone ^^ Hope the year's start has been well for you guys :)

JGT's year and story will continue next week. It may not be Monday exactly--it might be a random day like Wednesday--but it will be next week :)

And then after Big Magic wraps up, which will be pretty soon O.O, we may have a tiny little hiatus so I can finalize the script for the next episode. But once I do that, then to OZ we go!!! I started planning this episode about a year ago now, and though some plot points and designs have changed, it's still gonna be completely magical ;) so look out for that!

So please check back during the next few weeks for the finale of the Big Magic trilogy/the official mid-season finale! Bring it on, second half of Season 1!

In With the New...

Hey, guys! As everyone is getting settled into the new year, I am getting settled into my...apartment XD So, as you can see, the start of school means a slight delay in pages, but be sure to check back next week ;D Big Magic is seriously almost done O.O

But, as they say, out with the old and in with the new...and in our case, in with the new styles and adventures!

For Christmas, Jocey got me a new art program called Manga Studio 5, and boy oh boy, it is so flippin' amazing!!! As I'm practicing with it, so many comic-making doors are opening up, it's making me so excited!

So for your viewing pleasure (and my utter embarrassment), here are some beginning doodles I did with Jocey's awesome gift!

I don't usually draw digitally, but with this program, it's just so fun ^o^ And I'm not sure if you can tell, my art style is sliiiightly changing, but that just means more exciting adventures within the making of this comic!
