What Happens During a Blue Moon...

JOCEY'S BIRTHDAY, THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS!

You know it! Tis that time of year again! Every 21 days, a girl of the JGT trio will be celebrating a birthday! And today is none other than Jocey's birthday! Huzzah!!! And tonight, there supposedly will be a blue moon! Isn't that perfect?

JGT is very special to me. So, for every JGT birthday, I am going to illustrate a special idea featuring each titular character, starting with Jocey and her blue moon.

Blue moons are rare and beautiful. When people say that something happens once in a blue moon, they say it with a certain awe. I feel like blue moons are a gift, and that they are the backdrop of extraordinary things. And Jocey, to me, is the personification of a blue moon :)

Jocey's everyday powers are moon and fire powered. But when a blue moon appears...

...I would guess that something awesome would happen. One idea could be that the flames from Jocey's lunar staff would come to life, and become itty bitty fire fluffs! And they would have every ounce of Jocey-ness in them, too ^^

So, in this strange turn of events, all hail Jocey, the holder of the blue moon, and the queen of the itty bitty fires!

Hehe, happy, happy birthday, Jocey! I hope you enjoy your day, and may you continue to be awesome, beautiful, and totally extraordinary! We cannot wait to see you shine :)

"Just Fire"

Hello, everyone! Tis early, early in the morning where I am, but I'm too impatient to wait until later to post!

I have just finished the final installment of the mini adventure comics. As you may know, these comics have been featuring the in-betweens of Episode 9 and 10!

This one is called "Just Fire"!

As you can see, this last mini adventure is longer compared to the others, as well as more 'ambiguous', if you want to call it that. These two have a lot to deal with at the moment, whether they are aware of it or not. More will be revealed in OZ ;)

I really hope that you guys have enjoyed these mini adventures! I had a lot of fun with them, and I also got a lot of practice done, both with art program techniques and with straight up feels X3

But in the end, I am beyond excited to start the next episode, and I hope you are, too :)

It's gonna be an exciting journey...

Ello, guys! Genie here with another lil OZ concept art!

As we draw nearer and nearer to the next eppie, the mini adventures will be drawing to a close, and I will be drawing more final concept pieces :)

It's a very simple drawing, and whether or not it depicts a specific scene in the next eppie, it certainly depicts a specific feeling in the next eppie. I'll just leave you with that ;)

A Lot of Critical Daydreaming

Hey, everyone! Genie here!

I wanted to let you guys know that the OZ script's final draft is almost done! I've been editing it for the past few weeks, so hopefully we can get the episode started :)

Before that, I did have a couple of more mini adventures lined up that kind of set up the scene for OZ, so be on the look out for that!

But for today, I just wanted to share another little concept art that I did a little while ago.

Tis Genie-Dorothy! As a human XD So, I guess it's like a crossover between Big Magic and OZ haha ^^"

I tend to do random doodles like this whenever I need to analyze a particular character. As a writer, if I need to delve into the deep inners of a character, I simply draw them, because I think about the character with every stroke I make. I guess you can call it 'Critical Daydreaming' X)

I really hope to share OZ with you all soon! I'm so excited for it, and I hope you all enjoy it once it launches!

Lion in the Flowers + Freak Out part 2

Hey, guys! Genie here! As I continue to revise the OZ script and plan the last few mini adventures, I couldn't help but whip up a small concept art piece!

So, because we haven't seen enough of him yet, here is Rudy Jr. as Lion!

Hehe, the colors changed again, as well as the designs for the poinsettias. But hey, we're getting closer to the final designs, and the start of the eppie! So please keep checkin' in for more :D

On a different note, I wanted to quickly share the good news! Another one of my short stories got accepted into a literary journal! I talked about my first publication here! I am very excited to have this opportunity again, and it makes me feel grateful for my stories, this comic, and you guys for all your support.

Simple and Free

Ello, everyone! Genie here!

First off, sorry for the delay in the next Mini Adventure... I'm currently revising the script for the next episode. It's a very long script, and I'm changing a good amount of it, so thank you for being so patient!! I'm getting more excited for it as I write, so hopefully that's a good sign XD

Second off, I had a drawing block the other day, and so I just opened up my program, and I drew whatever I wanted. So, I drew this:

Tis a very simple Jocey Squirrel! I might call it "Simple and Free". Cuz the picture is very simple, and the Jocey is very free ^^ And I'm sure Jocey will appreciate the title's small Kingdom Hearts reference, too.

Again, thank you for being so patient, and I hope the comics to come are worth the wait :) I have a feeling they might be...
