A JGT Christmas Poem
Ello, everyone! Genie here to present to you a special poem that I wrote a few years ago. The poem was originally a Christmas present to Jocey, but now that we've remastered JGT, we would like to share it with you, complete with redrawn sketches and colors and snow!

OZ Doodle: Love Overflowing
Ello, everyone! Genie here with a small treat for everyone, including myself.
So, as you noticed, the past few weeks were pretty busy for me, which resulted in a lack of page updates. I mentioned that I was working on grad school apps, and with that came a lot of unexpected stress, lack of self-confidence, and all that terrible stuff.
But, what got me through it was the support from my family and friends. They all told me that they believed in me, and that I had to believe that I had a chance of getting into a school.
Now, I know that they are right.
The encouraging words from my loved ones embraced me like a surprise hug. I didn't think of asking for it, but when I received it, I couldn't help but smile.
So, right before I finished page 12, I actually drew a small doodle to express that love. And I would like to share it with you!
Here are Lion and Genie-Dorothy showing just that!
(Fun Fact: The title "Love Overflowing" is from a lyric of The Wiz. The song it came from is called "Home", and the full line is:

Meanwhile...Page 12!
Ello, everyone! Genie here (FINALLY) with page 12! Huzzah!
Thank you all so much for being so patient. These past couple of weeks have been very nerve-wracking for me. I've recently started submitting grad school applications...dun dun dun. Seems pretty harmless, but trust me, it was hard for me to press that 'submit' button. There are still times when I and my comic counterpart share the same fears, haha.
Meanwhile...
Lila is back in the comic! And I am so glad to draw her again. Let us see what Lila does to continue Eppie 10!

Writing Buddies
Ello, everyone! Genie here with some updates!
First off, Jocey and I survived NaNoWriMo! As I've mentioned, the both of us decided to participate in National Novel Writing Month this past November, and boy oh boy, was that an experience. We wrote, and wrote, and wrote, and wrote, and I gotta say, I think we conquered.
I ended with a little over 50,000 words of my novel, and Jocey ended with a little over 47,000. Now, the official challenge is to write at least 50,000 words in order to be deemed a 'winner', but despite that, I feel like both Jocey and I won this challenge. We've managed to dive into our novel ideas, and bring them to life. And that isn't even the coolest part.
The coolest part, to me, is the fact that we did this challenge together. I probably wouldn't have gotten this far if Jocey weren't my writing buddy. We've encouraged each other a lot, as we do throughout the rest of the year, haha.
But, on this special occasion, here is a little dedication to our first NaNoWriMo!
Ta da! Tis us, with the titles of our novels tucked in our thought bubbles. And, of course, the idea that we've shared for a while, JGT, makes a cameo appearance, too. Jocey, I am so excited for A Light in the Dark; I cannot wait to experience it! Thank you again for being an awesome writing buddy!
And, real quick before I sign off, JGT in OZ will resume this weekend :) So please look out for Page 12, coming soon!
