Rainbow Throw Up

Ello, everyone! Genie here with Page 28! Huzzah!

Fun fact time! Remember how I said that I scrapped all the preplanned dialogue for Page 27, because I ended up wanting that moment to be silent and speechless?

Well, I put that dialogue into this page!

The lines about how Oz looks like Mt. Hill if a rainbow were to throw up on it was originally going to be Genie's first reaction the moment she came out of the tent. If anything, it came pretty close, right?

Let's see if we'll run into any other script changes. On to Page 29!

Until then,

Genie

Success!!

Ello, everyone! Genie here with awesome news!

The Indiegogo campaign for Princess Leilani and the Lanu Tree was a complete success! We exceeded our goal and are over 130% funded! Holy moly, what an amazing feeling...

Thank you guys so much again for your cooperation and support. I know that JGT in OZ was put on hold while I helped wrap up the campaign. I just wanted to say, again, how grateful I am for your patience! JGT in OZ will resume very soon! The next page is in the works and will be finished within a day or so!

Here's to a new children's book coauthored by an amateur webcomic artist! And as always, here's to storytelling, no matter what medium!

Until then,

Genie

Getting Close to a New Children's Book!

Ello, everyone! Genie here!

First, just a quick update on Page 28. It is in progress, and I will try my best to finish and post it within the next few days.

Second, the reason why the page is slightly delayed is that the Guardian Princess Alliance (GPA)'s online campaign for Princess Leilani and the Lanu Tree has entered its final week!

Cue excitement/extreme nervousness!

I mentioned in a PREVIOUS POST that I am debuting as a children's book (co)author with this book, and so this campaign has been one wild ride for me. As of right now, we are 17% away from our goal with 6 days left! So close, guys!

Here is a LINK TO THE CAMPAIGN if you would like to check out the campaign. We are really proud of this story because it is a great step forward in the world of multicultural children's books.

If you read the details of the book on the campaign and believe that the story deserves to be shared with the world, please consider supporting the campaign by donating! Even $5 will make a great difference! If you are not able to donate, then please spread the word so that we can bring Princess Leilani to life.

That's probably why I'm excited/nervous. I feel like that's how all storytellers get when they have a story they really want to tell...

So, again, thank you all so much for your support, whether for JGT or for my other projects like Princess Leilani! I truly, truly appreciate it! Fingers crossed for this story, and for all stories that are waiting to be told.

Until then,

Genie
