I hope everybody is having fantastic holidays with smiles and love and lots of family, I wish the best for you all and thanks for the fantastic year you all have given us!! I am blessed to have friends like Genie in my life and to have all you supporting her website. So you all have my thanks. Soo here it is, the christmas picture (temporarily). The colored one will probably appear later today or the day after.

To miss Genie: Merry Christmas my friend. I hope you have a fantastic trip and I wish you to have a heck of a lot of fun on your trip!

A Little Merry Message from Genie

(FWI: Jocey is in charge of the annual JGT Christmas picture this year, so be sure to look out for that ^^)

Hey, everyone! Sorry this is a little late, as I am about to get ready to head out of town, but I just wanted to wish all of you Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Again, I am so thankful to have you guys be a part of JGT's journey, and my journey as an aspiring storyteller as well. This experience thus far has not been easy, but it has indeed been so worth it. And I literally speak for all of the JGT family when I say that we are so grateful for all of you guys. So once again, from the bottom of my heart, have a wonderful (and MAGICAL) holiday season, filled with laughs, memories, and love!!!

Sincerely,

Genie

Deck the Site with Page 19, Falalala!

Hey, guys! Page 19 is now up! Huzzah!

And thank goodness that it’s done, cuz that was the longest page I probably ever had to do (20 panels for the win).

Just to let you guys know, I might not be able to get another page done before Christmas time, and since I’ll be out of town the week between Christmas and New Years, I guess this is the start of a small hiatus. But don’t worry! There’ll be a holiday post for you to enjoy soon! And when I get back in town/after the New Year, the story shall continue again!

Thank you so much for being so patient, and I hope you all have an epic and safe holiday season!

Until then, enjoy Page 19 and the upcoming posts,

deviantART Holiday Card: The Mouse and the Flower in the Snow

Hey, guys!

So in the past few days, my brother and I made cards for the deviantART Holiday Card Project, an awesome project where artists can make cards and send them to the dA hq, who send them to children in hospitals. Tis an awesome event!!

So, inspite of myself, I made mine 'JGT' themed. BUT the message is supposed to be universal ^^

Since it's JGT themed, I thought it made sense to share it with you guys! Hope you enjoy!
Page 9 shall be up soon as well!

Until then,

What's Comin' Up This Week...

Hey, guys! Genie here ^^

As this week rolls on, I'll be posting quite a few things.
One of them will be Page 19.
Another will be a little project I helped with deviantART.
And sometime before Christmas, there'll be....well, something Christmas-y :D

So please be on the lookout for those! It might be hard for me to frequently post things because I don't have wifi in my house, but I shall do my best!

Until then,

Genie

Study-Vent Art: "Dare to Look Down"

Hey, guys! As I have mentioned before, I am in the middle of final-studying. And as you also may know....studying for finals is a very, very, very tedious (and sometimes boring) thing.

So, as a way to take a break from the books, I decided to draw up some JGT vent-art.

Tis a concept art/artsy piece from Eppie 6: Journey to Mt. Hill.

The title is actually a segment of lyrics from an original song that I shall one day share with you ;) It's a character song for Genie-squirrel...fun stuff ^o^

I decided to do something from Eppie 6 cuz:
1. Fun Fact: that's my favorite JGT episode
2. I wanted to show (in an abstract/metaphoric sort of way) the nature of fear vs. courage. Yes, Masquerade is the main eppie that revolves around 'conquering' fear, but Journey to Mt. Hill to me depicts the actual courageousness of putting something more important above fear in order to overcome it. That's what happens to Genie when she ultimately decides to ignore her fear of heights in order to save Harry from falling. Her love for her friends is greater than her fear...and that's how the day is saved :)

This pic illustrates that though you may be in a position that scares you, the wings of that 'more important something' are right behind you, even if you can't see them ^_^

So even if you're also studying for finals, don't be scared. Just do your best, and think of your 'more important something' :D

Best of Luck,

Genie

A Comic Page, a Bunny, and a Raccoon, Oh My!

Hey, everyone!

Happy Page 18!

As you see, a couple of conniving characters have followed the guys into the Human World, and they mean TROUBLE... The Team Rocket of JGT, Lila the bunny and Ace Morrison, are now human!

Look out for Page 19 in a week or so. I have a couple of finals to get through, but after that, I am free! Other little extras may pop up every now and then, so look forward to those, too!

Hope you enjoy Lila-Ace-humanness, and if you have tests, best of luck!!!

Until then,

Genie

PS: Rudy, you just got Ace mad...be careful, Mouse-boy!!!

Whether or not you celebrate Thanksgiving, I just wanted to take the time to say 'THANK YOU' to all of you guys for being a part of JGT's world and for simply being awesome.

You guys make me, Jocey, and everyone in this picture so happy, and so, this picture is dedicated to you.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING/THANK YOU SO MUCH,

Anyways, just wanted to let you guys know that Page 17 will be posted either later on today or on Thursday. Sorry again for the minor delay...I'm also working on a special pic for JGT so two projects are occupying my time hehe...

About Page 17...

Hey, guys! Genie here.

Alright, so you know how I said I'd get a page done every week? The pattern might break this week, as I have a horrendous amount of papers that must get done for school.

Page 17 is about half-way done, but because of academic circumstances, I won't be able to finish it until about Tuesday, when my assignments are due.

So, please be patient and hang in there for another couple of days! And also check back later this week for a special holiday artwork ;D

Thank you so much, guys! I shall see you when Page 17 is ready to go!

Until then,

Doodles: Jocey Squirrel

Hey, guys! Well, my class notes have become the victim of my doodling habits once again...

This time the theme is: Miss Jocey Squirrel!!!

...And one Jocey human.

I guess I chose to doodle her cuz in my class, we were discussing a movie called 'Moon'.....

So....

I guess that makes sense XD

Anyways, please enjoy the many moods of Jocey Squirrel! (Man I miss drawing squirrels...)

Until then,

Practicing the New Wardrobe

Hey, guys! Genie here.

**First off, Happy Happy Birthday Birthday to my lil bro, Marco! Love that boy to death!!**

Second off,
Huzzah for Jag and Harry changing out of their bacon-y vest and dorky lab coat ^^ I guess sacrifices had to be made in order to not stand out toooo much in the Human World.

As you can imagine, with these changes come...adjusting. I had to practice drawing their new looks a lot so I could get them down as best as I could...

...which leads to the birth of drawings like these.

I have other, rougher sketches, but they're kind of embarrassing so we'll see if those get brought to the surface...

Also, maybe one day I'll post some really old drawings that showcase their 'original' new looks (haha it's not like those are even MORE embarrassing...)

We shall see what the future holds.

Until then,

Genie

And here comes Page 16!

Hey, guys!

Page 16 is now up!
I'm glad that I'm starting to get the hang of this new schedule. Hopefully I'm able to keep it up (fingers are crossed, hehe).

Well, Jag, Harry, and Rudy are now on their 2nd day of their Big Magic fiasco. Will this day move them forward with their plan, or backward?

Tune in and see as the pages roll in! Page 17 should be up in another week!
(***By the way, if you are having trouble reading the bubbles and would like to zoom, click on the page, and then right click and pick the 'Open image in new tab' option. Then you should be able to zoom ^^)

And haha, remember the 'a couple of dudes are going to change'?

You get it?

Jag and Harry had to change....clothes.

Hehehe twas an author tease. I wanted to have fun with you guys :D

Anyways, I hope you enjoy Page 16! And again, look out for more posts in the coming weeks!

Page 15: DONE!

Hey, guys!

Well, after one week since completing Behind the Page with pg.14, I've actually managed to finish pg. 15! What is this magic??

Well, it's not technically magic. It's a new schedule I'm trying out. And if all turns out right, I MAY be able to post a page at the end of each week. So...cross your fingers with me!

Also, a note for page 15. Notice anything different?

Yep.

The page number is kind of in a different place.
This is actually just because a dialogue bubble took all the space in the bottom-middle section of the page, so I had to move the page number. It felt weird to do so, but it had to be done, hehe.

Hopefully it'll get its spot back in page 16, which is already in progress!

Thanks again for reading and for being awesome! Can't wait to continue this scene (tis a fave of mine)!

Until then,

And that concludes 'Behind the Page'!

Huzzah! After going through all of the phases of my take on the page-making process, we now have PAGE 14 of EPPIE 9!

Thank you guys so, so much for being patient with me, and for reading Behind the Page! I hope it was enjoyable and not too boring, haha.

As you can see now, making one comic page is a LOT of work and takes time, effort, and of course, passion. I wouldn't be dedicating hours of my time doing something that I didn't think was worth doing. So passion is key to completing projects like these, and I bet I speak for all comic-artists when I say that.

Of course, I am still an amateur at this, but sharing/explaining all this to you guys has really helped me as well! Indirect teamwork at its best!

If you guys have ANY questions, comments, or concerns regarding these Behind the Page posts, please feel free to ask away! This isn't the ONLY process for page-making, and I can safely say that changes are inevitable when it comes to these things.

But again, I hope that you guys have enjoyed these and learned a thing or two about this lil hobby o'mine, and please continue to read the story of JGT!

And now's the time for me to say, "More pages are to come!"

...More pages are to come! Back to the pencil and paper duo. The process begins all over again...

Onward to page 15! Thanks again, guys!

Genie

JGT- Behind the Page ~ FINISHING TOUCHES

"So close to being done, so close to being done..." is usually what runs through my head at this point of the process.

Once the dialogue is done, the only thing left to do is simple FINISHING TOUCHES!

After I look back and double-check the color and the dialogue, I save two jobs for last.

One is the 'numbering of the page'. I don't know if this pertains to everyone who makes comics, but I always feel happy/relieved/proud/you name it whenever I add the page number. It's like the page is saying, "Hello, I am officially part of this comic!" And that makes me smile every time I type it in.

The second job is kind of like an artist signing his/her name on a recently completed work of art.
At the bottom right corner of every page, I write '(c) mah name'.
This not only claims that this page is copyrighted, but like the page number, I also feel like this is equivalent to, "And now, this page officially belongs to me. I have finally completed this page, and I am happy with it. You go, girl!"...or something along those lines ^_^""

What's the next phase after this? You'll see...

Until then,

Genie

JGT- Behind the Page ~ DIALOGUE

Time to get out the script, cuz next we have to insert the DIALOGUE!

Alright, so once you have reunited with the script, you just use the Text option on your artsy program, and type in the lines wherever you plan on inserting the dialogue bubbles.

This phase, as you can see, isn't that hard to do, but this is usually when I tend to change up/edit some lines for whatever reasons.

After all of the dialogue has been typed in, we then move on to...making our own dialogue bubbles!

I actually learned this technique by 'googling' it. So...didn't coin this, folks! ^^

Making a dialogue bubble takes 3 steps.

1. Make a 'circle' with your 'ellipse/other round shape' select tool. Be sure that all of your dialogue fits!
2. Use the 'Free select' tool to draw on the little tail to the circle.
3. Bucket fill whichever color you want the bubble to be! (I use white...I'm traditional ^^)

After you press 'enter', you got yourself a dialogue bubble!

We're almost done, guys! Just a few more steps left!

Until then,

Genie

JGT-Behind the Page ~ CLEAN UP

Alright, so after all of the coloring is done, it's time for CLEAN UP!

This phase merely entails erasing all of the extra color that has gone outside the panels.

Though this phase isn't as 'fun' as the others, it's still essential, and it takes some time.

The next phase, however, is way more entertaining ;)

Until then,

Genie

Happy Birthday, Jag!!

Here's a lil picture-present for our favorite Squirrel Dude! ^^

If every memory good or bad is a certain shade of color, then I'd like to think we're all rainbows. Not as clear-cut as the ones in the sky, but worthwhile nonetheless.

And here is what Jag's shades of color might look like.

Hope you stay true to your true colors, Jag!

Happy Birthday!

Happppy Happpy Halloweeen!!!

OOOOOooooooooOOOOOOOooooooooo!! HAPPPPY HAPPPY HALLOWEEEN!!!! From JGT! Yours truly has drawn a very lovely halloween picture!!!!!!

I drew the picture, and the amazing coloring was done by Genie!
I have drawn you all this lovely super image!! I'm sure you all know these lovely heroes! We are humans because right now in Big Magic we are all human, soooooo Ta-da, even lovely Lila and Ace are human. The girls are DC heroes and the boys are Marvel heroes. Genie is the all lovely Wonder Woman, Jocey is the Black Canary, Taylor is Hawkgirl, and Lila is Cheetah (a villian). And the boys: Harry is Thor, Jag is Hawkeye (he looks totally different from the Avengers movie), Ace is Loki and our cute little Rudy is Captain America. I kinda really really love Lila in this picture as well as Genie, and I kinda really really like Jag and Rudy...

So I hope you all have a SUPER halloween and keep safe!!!

JGT: Behind the Page ~ COLOR ~ Characters

Ello! Well, aren't homework breaks just awesome? After about 1.5 hours of coloring, I can now show you some sneak peeks at the next phase in Coloring a Comic Page!

CHARACTERS!

Coloring the characters is probably the most time-consuming part of the many phases that go under Coloring. In saying this, I try hard not to overwhelm myself too much. So I like taking it slowly and coloring one character at a time.
When I tackle a character and all of his/her appearances in the page (these usually range from 1-7 appearances per page), I first color the skin. I have all of the color codes/schemes recorded for the characters; that way, all of their schemes are consistent throughout the entire episode. After skin, I go for the eyes, then the hair, and finish off with the clothes and mouth.
Think of the order like this. Layers. The character is toppled with layers...and the best way to start is to color the bottom layer and make your way to the top. That way, you don't have to be so picky with coloring inside the lines! The coloring of the upper layers will fix it for you! That is why I start with skin first, and finish off with the top-most layer of clothing, for instance, Harry's lab coat.

While coloring, I also make sure to blend in colors, so the characters don't just have one bland color-scheme going on. Hehe, I did tell you I like blending. (^^^ i.e. if you look closely, Rudy's skin consists of two shades of his skin color.)

For all you trivia-lovers, the hardest character to color as of right now is Human Jag. I mean, as a squirrel, he's as easy to color as all the others, but WOW did I make his color design time-consuming. While all the other human characters have about 1-2 colors in their hair, Human Jag has three. THREE. That lil diva has two shades of brown and one shade of red in his fluffy-squirrelly hairdo. I shouldn't blame him though, since I created him, but still...Jag, sometimes I wish you were a squirrel again so I wouldn't have to take about 20-30 minutes on your character alone...(and he shows up the most in this page, too...bonus for me -_-")

Though coloring the characters is hard/long, it probably is one of my favorite phases in the process. It's just because you get to see your character come to life, in a sense. Since I've been storyboarding practically my whole life, used to the simple world of black and white, I never really liked coloring, but sheesh the wonders coloring does to your characters! I'm such a rookie at this still, but I'm loving every minute of it.

The next phase is CLEAN-UP.....yeah, that post will be short. And hopefully will be coming soon ^^

Until then, thanks for reading!

JGT: Behind the Page ~ COLOR~ Background

Hey, everyone! Well, while taking a quick 30-minute homework break, I managed to finish up some of the coloring for page 14! So, allow me to show you the next phase and sub-phase of the comic-page process!
And that...is COLORING. Dun Dun Duuuuuun...

So, the coloring phase is a BIG and LONG one, like the drawing phase. Coloring takes various steps, as I'm sure you guys are aware of ^^.

The first thing I turn to when it comes to coloring is the backgrounds.

.....And...as you can see, my backgrounds aren't that complicated XD

Coloring the background doesn't take too much time, for I don't have to worry about 'staying in the lines' and whatnot. Since this is the first thing I color, the tidying up of the lines will be corrected when I start coloring in everything else, including the characters.

For most of this eppie, the only background is the sky. And from the very beginning, I didn't just want to use the same shades of blue and white. So I defied the laws of nature and made the sky randomly change color between panels! Hey, it's my comic so I can do what I want X3
And I tend to pull off a lot of 'Charlie Brown' backgrounds. You know, those backgrounds where it's just one color? Yeah, I grew up with CB, so now I do that. But I do put thought into which color I use (I choose based on the mood of the scene or character).

For coloring in general, I use paint/air brushes...and I blend...a LOT. What, blending colors is fun! And pretty. Well, to me, anyway.

The next part of Coloring is...the CHARACTERS O__O And boy oh boy, does that take a long time. But once I get a good start on it, I'll be sure to show you guys!

Until then,

Genie

JGT - Behind the Page ~ LAYOUT

Hey, guys! Tis Genie ^^

I'm ready to show you the next phase in Behind-the-Page, and that phase is 'Layout'!

Once I finish and scan the panel drawings, I then have to cut and crop each one. That way, each panel is separated and straight.
This particular page has a looot of panels, so I've ended up having about 16 panel squares floating around my desktop.
Then I open up Gimp, which again is the free/kind of nih-y version of Photoshop (One day, Photoshop...one day you will be mine.) I first prepare the background for the page, which is usually the same shade of gray (I use a light gray so it still showcases the white of the raw panels).
Using different lairs (so, 16 layers in total), I cut and paste each panel onto the gray background. Because each panel has its own layer, I can easily move and adjust it without tampering with the other panels. Once all are on the page, I organize them based on the model rough draft from the early phases of BtP ^^
After finishing up details in organizing and separating, all I have to do is merge all layers into one cramped layer, and then I can start the next phase....COLORING.

Tune in next time for that mess ;D

Until then,

Genie

JGT: Behind the Page ~ Final Drawn Panels

Hey, everyone! Genie here!

Guess what? Another phase of the comic page-making process has been completed!

After the rough sketches comes the final line-art for the panels! Since I'm not fancy, I just use a lead pencil. But it works for me so I regret nothing. So huzzah! The panels for page 14 have been fully drawn!
As you can see, the panels take about 1.3 pages of printer paper. That's cuz the actual comic page sizes are bigger than US Letter, so I need more room, ergo more paper ^^
Also, it shows that I may be a little lazy when it comes to the boxes of the panels. They look a bit uneven, right? That's cuz in the Layout phase, I crop them and set them...you know what, you'll find out soon enough, hehe.
This page came pretty close to the rough draft I drew earlier. Some changes have been made though...can you spot where they are? ^^

Next up is the Layout of the page! Hopefully I'll be able to show you this weekend ;D

Until then,

Genie

A Favorite Past-time of Mine: Doodling

Hey, everyone! Sorry about being inactive this week. It's really hitting me how much I miss having all the time in the world to draw and write.

So, what's my temporary solution to this dilemma?

DOODLING.

Yes, I know. Doodling is bad if you're in class. But I honestly think doodling helps me concentrate more. Cuz I tend to have a 'day-dreaming problem' sometimes, and doodling helps anchor my thoughts...but that's just me ^^

Doodling also makes way for some good practice!
Since I'm still in the middle of Big Magic, the eppies that show JHR as humans, and since drawing humans isn't my forte, I've managed to draw a couple of practice sketches whenever I could.

I guess this can be considered Concept Art...maybe...or just doodles.
Yeah, they're doodles X3

"Keep Calm and Doodle On."

Until then (and hopefully that's soon cuz I feel a Behind the Page update coming along),

Blast from the Past: JGT Issue #1 Cover

Hey, everyone! Genie here. Trying to catch my breath after all of this reading and college and whatnot. Because of school, it's getting harder for me to find time to work on pages...huh, maybe I have some time tonight...hmm...I'll keep you posted ;)

But until then, here is a little something from the very random past of JGT:
(Why is it gray?!?!)
So, I believe some time before this website launched, Jocey and I wanted to try and 'self publish' JGT into an actual comic-book-thing. So, coupled with that idea was a design for issue 1, which from what I remember consisted eppies 1-5, ending with Switching Stone.
The idea was later retired, along with this page (partially because of the stain underneath the JGT cloud...See it? I wish you couldn't, but it's there...)
And instead of self-publishing, we decided to just open up a website and redraw the entire series! Yay for taking the road less traveled, right? XD

That's a little bit of JGT history for you :3

(PSSST Also, take a look under the 'Playlist' Tab...another song might've popped up for Big Magic ;p you should check it out!)

And yes, once I get more progress done on page 14, I shall continue the Behind the Page posts! As soon as I can, it'll get done!

Thank you for your patience and awesomeness, and be sure to check back for more Behind the Scenes and JGT Randomness!

I Didn't Forget Your Birthday, Lila!

I'm about 10 minutes late, but I have Lila's birthday pic from JGT!!

It's a picture of Lila...sitting on a hill...contemplating life ^^

Hey, some of the simplest things are the most beautiful, no?

Besides, it's nice to see villains just chill and not cause mayhem every once in a while.

So, in saying this, Happy Happy Birthday to our conniving yet colorful Lila!

JGT Behind the Scenes: Drawing Phase ~ Rough Sketch

Ello, people!

Well, I finally started the Drawing Phase of the comic page process!

(Not sure why it's gray...it's on white paper.)
Anyway, this actually might be my favorite part of the whole process...I guess it's because at this point I don't have a looot of pressure...I turn to the final lining and coloring for that!

Obviously, I am not done with drawing the rest of the page, but I tend to do final lining as I go. So before I continue drawing the rest of the panels, the above panels will probably already be done and ready to scan. I'm weird like that.

Well, hopefully I'll get to show you the final drawn panels soon!

Until then,

Genie ^^

JGT Behind the Page: Script and Rough Draft

Hey, guys! Genie here ^^

Well, college is starting to take over my life again, but that doesn't mean that JGT shall go too down with my amount of free time. I am currently on the verge of starting to draw Page 14!
And since I am still in the beginning of the page process, I thought it'd be cool to actually SHOW you guys what I have to do for each one! The process I currently use is influenced by a webcomic called Lackadaisy! You probably have heard of it; it's really popular, and it inspired me to try and change the style from storyboard-like to actual color/comic-like. And the very talented Tracy J. Butler showed her readers the process of drawing a comic page on Photoshop! Since I had Gimp (the free/'nih'-y version of photoshop), I thought I'd put her process to the test with my new style. And so far, I'm loving it! It's hard, but it's awesome.

And believe me, tis a looot of work, and it is for this reason that it sometimes takes so long for a page to come out.

So, here we go!

The page process starts with...the SCRIPT.

Here is a look at my desktop with the JGT eppie 9 script (and yes, that is one of Jocey's epic drawings of JGT in the background  ^^). I actually wrote this script months ago, before I started page 1 with the new style. So this script is pretty old, and usually undergoes a couple of changes when I actually draw the corresponding page to the corresponding script scene. So these words are not official.

The next step is the ROUGH DRAFT of the page!

This is a rough doodle of how I initially want the page to look. Like the script, this draft is not final...some pages have undergone spontaneous changes when I started the drawing phase.
This rough draft gives me a vague idea of the layout of the page, where the dialogue goes, how much of the script I use, etc. And if you look closely, you can probably guess who's who, haha XD

So in a nutshell, here are the first two steps of the comic page-process! Once I start the drawing phase (hopefully after I finish hw tomorrow), I'll probably show you guys a couple of roughly sketched panels...if they don't look too embarrassing haha ^o^"

Until then,

Genie ^^

Sneak Peak of CAST: These are my Ideas

Hey, everyone! Genie here ^^

As I adjust back to the college lifestyle, I like to take breaks and prepare to start and continue my stories. By continue, I refer to JGT. By start, I refer to CAST!

CAST is a story that can be considered a 'sister' to JGT, for the characters are roughly based on the characters of JGT. However, the story is very different.

This series revolves around a town called Diction, where ideas are bright and real to the touch, and people are born with not names, but words.

Revolution, Sophistication, Epiphany, Avant Garde...They are all citizens of Diction, and they are all dreamers who wish to make their ideas immortal.

But when certain circumstances get in their way of their thoughts, and their lives, what are mere words to do?

This pic is a poster/concept art-thingy for the look of CAST. Though this will NOT be a comic and will indeed be a written story, I still like to understand how the world and the characters look ^^

So, here is an experimentation for the world of CAST, featuring the character Epiphany (aka Fanny), and a few of her ideas.

Hope you enjoy! And be on the look out for more sneak peaks and pages!

Until then,

Genie

PAGE 13 is here!

Hey, everyone! Sorry for the wait... This page took a little more time, mostly because there were six layers of panels instead of five, AND I'm starting to get ready to head back to college.
But nevertheless, it is done! On to page 14! Hopefully I can get one more page in before my classes start. But don't worry, the story will continue once school starts!

And haha, Jag and Harry with the iPhones.... I can only imagine...

Jag: I want a sword app, and a battle app, and an 'Everybody shut up' app...
Harry: It has a touchscreen.... HKSJHQKEFJ it SLIDES!

XD Thanks, Jocey, for the pic!

More pages and extras to come! Thanks for reading and being awesome!

Until then,

Genie

Extra: Potential Design for Eppie One's cover

Hey, guys! Happy Friday the 13th! And while I'm currently drawing page 13, here is a little peek at an old-ish cover idea for JGT Eppie 1: Three Squirrels and a Prophecy!

In this episode, Jocey, Genie, and Taylor get a good slap of luck as they magically turn into squirrels while attending a midnight movie premiere! Whether the luck is good or bad is up to you ^o^

So, hope you enjoy this design...as I crawl into my bed and hide under the covers cuz I'm embarrassed by my old drawing style XD

Now I must get back to page 13!

Until then,

Genie

And last but not least...Taylor's Verse!

Hey, guys! So in conclusion to the 21-day JGT Birthday Trilogy, here is the third verse of "Count on Me", written in the eyes of Taylor!

My friends are the reason why I'm not alone
And everyone knows the flower
Doesn't bloom on its own
It takes a lot of love and care
That's what I get when you are there
This feeling is the greatest thing to share

And when times are too hard to bear

Just count on me and you will see
I'll help you on your way
You are my sunshine when I'm lost
And you told me it's okay
To be afraid when there's no love
Now it's time to show what we are made of
So come on down, come with me
You will see

You can count on me!

We're here for you, Tay! You can count on us! With the moon to light the dark and the butterfly to guide you to safety, you are free to bloom into something wonderful!

Happy Birthday! ^o^

**The whole song and its lyrics shall be posted in due time now! So watch out for that!

Happy Birthday, Taylor!

21 days after G's birthday is....you guessed it, the T of JGT! Taylor!

As you guys know, Taylor's symbol is the flower. And so, here is a little drawing using a curvaceous drawing style and a dash of simplicity. I tried to make her dress resemble a flower as well.

So, from a grateful butterfly to a friendly flower, Happy Happy Birthday to our kind and bright Taylor!

Read and find out ^o^
(By the way, if you can't read the small text (there's a lot of it in this page), just right click and Open Image in New Tab, and I believe you should be able to magnify the page ^^ Sorry about that...Harry has a lot to say hehehe

More goodies shall be comin along later this week, so check back *cough cough* wednesday *cough*.

Until then,

Promo Picture: The Big Magic Trilogy

Hello all!
Here is a simple poster/promotional picture for JGT eppies 7-9, aka the 'Big Magic' episodes...
Twas something I thought would be cool to make, as well as a nice way to spread the word of JGT Comics.
I also felt that these eppies deserved a lot of recognition since they are, well, technically the Mid-Season finale of Season 1 :D OMG we're half way done with Season 1!
Eppie 9, as you know, is still in progress, but the thumbs up for the new/colored style are making all the time used to making them worth it all ^o^ I myself am still hyped for it!
So to share my excitement, here is a picture for Big Magic, the trilogy of eppies that could possibly change everything...

And here is page 11!

Hey everyone! Genie here ^^

Well things are starting to get less busy for me, so let's hope that I'll get more time to draw pages. Thank you again so much for your patience and cooperation! I have many ideas in my head for extras and mini comics, so if I find the time, they will come! So be on the look out!

Also, my reaction to Jocey's birthday comic is also up! The drawn reaction was genuine in real life. I felt very happy and blessed and proud to call that crazy, hyper girl my best friend ^^ Thanks again, Jocey!

Again, more is on the way, especially more pages for the main story, and extras as well! You'll see ;)

Until then,

Genie ^^
