FUN FACTS:

• Genie first started JGT in 2008. She started remastering the series in 2012.
• The idea was based off of the real Jocelyn's nickname, 'Jocey Squirrel'.
• In order to decide 'powers/weapons' for the characters, Genie requested that one person's power would be suggested by the other two. For instance, Genie and Taylor decided Jocelyn's power, Taylor and Jocelyn decided Genie's power, etc!
• JGT's character looks corresponded to the actual looks of the real Jocey, Genie, and Taylor at that certain time period. Right before Genie was about to start 'The Switching Stone', she ended up getting glasses and Jocey suddenly cut her hair. So, Genie had to add those new characteristics to the plot-line.
• Harrison Morrison was originally supposed to be another evil hooded bad guy, like Lila. But when Genie was sketching him, he always looked sweet. So Genie made him a dorky, friendly character instead!
• Genie used the name Lila for one of the main antagonists initially for ironic purposes, for Lila was always a name she found to be so beautiful.
• 'Jag' was actually another character Genie had created earlier in one of her other stories. This character was a wolf who belonged to the group of antagonists and later on joined the protagonists (sound familiar?). Genie named him 'Jag' originally because of the word 'jagged'.
• In real life, all three JGT girls need glasses. However, Jocey is the only one who wears contact lenses so her comic character doesn't wear glasses.
• In preparation for 'The Masquerade', Genie interviewed Jocey and Taylor about their fears, and used them in the episode.
• The comics are drawn in storyboard-like fashion.
• SO WEIRD. Jocey was born on July 31st. 21 days later is Genie's birthday, August 21st. And 21 days later, is Taylor's birthday, September 11th! No joke. Those are the valid birthday dates. In a 21 day-pattern. There must be a prophecy involved somewhere there, huh?
• Harry is the only fictional character (so far) with an actual last name.
• Genie's first attempt at drawing an owl/Sir Aldric's character ended up looking like an evil/muffin head
• In the original comics, Lila and Ace also had lowlights like Jag. The trend was supposed to be that all villains would have them. But throughout the comic, Lila's vanishes in some scenes, and Ace just looks awkward, according to Jocey, haha.
• In eppie 8, in the scene where Jag is calling to Jocey from atop the school pillar, in the original he called to her from a trashcan. The real Jocey found this a little gross and suggested for it to be changed.
• In Eppie 9, Page 21, Genie changed a bit of Harry's dialogue at the last minute. Read about it here!
